Rainy Barcelona days ask for a nice trench. I can't really complain about the weather, in contrast to Belgium, it has been sunshine overload! A little too much even, since I suffered from a sunstroke this weekend. And I -apparently- also lack a lot of summer clothes. Since Belgian summers start and end pretty cold every day. It's not unusual to wear long pants all summer. So I'm in desperate need of some shorts, skirts and dresses! But tuesday the sales start, so bring it on, Barcelona!

I've got some new glasses, hooray! Ordered them at Firmoo again. I just love their prices and their service! And it's nice to have a few different ones to change your look every once in a while.

Some more new things, the Louboutins I found at this little second hand store and my amazing new (vintage) oversized Levi's jacket. I was truly amazed when I found the shoes. They were just there, staring at me and when I looked at the bottom it said 38. I couldn't believe it! There was a sticker on the sole and I know that normally that's not the case. But since they were only 16 euros, I took them anyway.

I was curious about if they were real or not so I took them to Isabel Bajart. The guy that works there sees Louboutins everyday and he studied shoe design, so he would definitely know.
He confirmed my suspicion by saying that they were definitely real! The sticker was on there because they were probably used in a fashion show or a fitting, he told me.

He put a smile on my face that couldn't be wiped off for at least a few days, haha! And so that's the story about how I got my Louboutins for 16 euros. Karma was definitely on my side.

Welcome to the newest topic on Anoukmeetsfashion: In the closet. Whenever I run into someone whose style I really like I'll try to set up an interview with them to give you all a look into their closets. This way you'll get to discover their favourite pieces and the stories behind how they dress.

First up is Astrid, a girl I met here in Barcelona trough my lovely roommate Chelsi. She's born in Belgium but grew up in the north of Spain (Asturias). At the age of 17 she went back to Belgium (Wolvertem) to work at the Stephex stables. She got the job throughout her ex trainer - she didn't only work with horses, she was a (very good) rider as well!- he recommended her to go there and learn some more.

At the moment Astrid is finishing her studies translation French - English - Spanish - Catalan in Barcelona and in the summer she plans on heading over to Canada or Belgium to pick up working with horses again.

I would describe Astrid's style as a tough Spanish rock chick. She has an effortless style and loves to finish off her looks with some nice lipstick. In a few days this rock chick will be a bridesmaid at a wedding soon and she had her dress custom made. (hence the red one) When she goes to work (she's helping out her mom with a children's fashion line) she prefers a 'classic style' she says, to keep everything formal.

Her motto is: 'Tough times never last, but tough people do'.

 What is she wearing

Jacket - Stradivarius
Top - Little Store
Bag - Uterque
Sunglasses - Knockaround
Jeans - Stradivarius
Shoes - unknown
