The Belgian Fashion Museum (MoMu) currently has an exposition running about the use of feathers and plumes in fashion. At first, I had my doubts about the expo because I'm just not that into feathers. But it is absolutely magnificent! They've collected some amazing pieces and I'm really glad I had the opportunity to witness a beautiful exhibition like this one.
If you are in Antwerp, or in Belgium. Make sure you stop by the MoMu to check it out!
From now till 24/08/2014.
These were taken in the 'voetgangerstunnel' in Antwerp. It's a tunnel that runs under the Schelde and connects the center of Antwerp with Linkeroever. I totally felt like a turtle in there. The only thing missing was the pizza. But here are some of my kick ass karate/dance moves.
I was very exited to here about the Natalie Joos and Kipling collaboration when I first heard about it! Kipling and I go way back, since I rocked a Kipling school bag with a monkey named Muriel. And now I still own a Kipling bag from their previous collection with Andy from Style Scrapbook.
Natalie designed a collection for 'Women on the move' and since she is one of these women herself, I guess it makes a lot of sense. The collection is bright and happy. And finding your luggage immediately when you're at the airport is just another big plus. She also designed her own Monkey. A white one which she stripped all naked except for her signature red lipstick, love it!
I'm a fan, what about you guys?
Rebecka (my fellow intern at Natalie Joos) and me!
The Austrian brand Skiny has launched a capsule collection named 'Skiny Loves Brazil'. This collection was presented to us with an initiation samba dancing! Accompagnied by some delicious tapas, we were teached the basic steps to samba. I'm not very good at dancing since I always mess up the steps but it was a great experience!
Skiny is ready for the world cup in Brazil! Are you?
Y'all know I wear black a lot. But lately, I like to soften it up with some pastels. This season, the pastels are definitely rocking the fashion scene. I've seen soft pink, baby blue and beige pop up everywhere during the fashion weeks. Look out for this trend ladies, this one is here to stay!
I was invited last week to discover the new Laura Mercier collection at Senteurs D'Ailleurs in Brussels. I usually don't write a lot about beauty but I must admit that the natural make up story behind Laura Mercier really triggered me.
Using make up to look natural might sound a little contradictory but I came, I saw and I was convinced! That Laura Mercier surely knows her beauty!
My favourite product of the new line is definitely the invisible pressed setting powder. It contains unique light-reflecting, spherical powders that create a soft-focus appearance, diminishing the look of fine lines and imperfections while visibly smoothing the skin. Sounds pretty awesome, right?
